David works as a Drama Workshop Leader and Acting Coach throughout Surrey and West London. He has taught drama at a number of schools, dance schools and weekend theatre schools, as well as having 18 years experience of coaching pupils for L.A.M.D.A drama examinations. As a Drama Consultant, David, works in schools running workshops and has also provided training for primary school teachers on the use of drama in the classroom. He has also lectured in Drama in the further education sector. Many of David's pupils have worked professionally.
He is the writer of numerous plays for children all of which he has directed with casts of young people from the London area. He has also written original scripts for 11 musicals for children alongside songwriter Jane Marlow.
David's own acting credits include: U.K tours of The Wind in The Willows, and A Christmas Carol, various repertory seasons, pantomimes and a one-man play.
On the fringe David has directed The Bear by Chekhov and Mountain Language by Pinter.
David is a member of EQUITY. He is currently on the Executive of Kingston Arts, and the Artistic Director of Kingston Junior Drama Company.
David is also a licensed chaperone, and has worked extensively in this capacity.
